| 1975 Chevolet Corvette, very good driver, not a show car. L82, 4 speed, T-Tops, not original engine, original transmission, not original differential. Flame Orange with medium saddle interior I bought car in Jan/1998 with 151,000 miles on it. That means less than 15k miles are on all of the parts below!!!! This 350 cubic inch engine does not use oil or smoke even during start-up. Original heads and the L82 cam. This engine has less than 50k miles on it (estimate by previous owner). All cylinders have good compression. Chasis is tight(see new parts below). Tracks straight and does NOT pull even during breaking. Always check front wheel to rear wheel distance on each side, if not equal, major problems are hiding. Differential has a high gear for acceleration. Very quick and corners on rails due to new parts below. No rust holes in frame. Always check for rust holes on rear frame rails. Rust can also be on the driver side lower windshield and upper clutch/brake assemby, caused by leaky t-top. I repaired mine BEFORE windshield was replaced. Windows have good fit, not much air leaks. Some weatherstriping has been replaced. Remember these odometers only go to 99,999 miles then they start over, be sure to ask for documentation on cars with LESS THAN 100K, don't be a FOOL. Paint job is pre 1995. Not great but not bad. Has nicks and chips, but no "star" cracks in the fiberclass, these must be ground out and are very expensive to repair. Don't be fooled by a NEW "glossy" paint job, unless they have pics BEFORE the new paint job. If repairs were not correct, a few bumps in the road will showcase the bad repairs, the cracks will pop up in no time..... not operating: a/c, clutch was noisy - old freon available clock, radio, ammeter, alarm system manuals: Chevrolet owners manual, Chevrolet assembly manual, Chevrolet repair manual Haynes repair manual, Haynes body repair and painting manual Lindsay Porter "corvette restoration guide" Richard Newton "how to restore and modify your corvette" new parts not installed: transmission rebuild kit, bearings+synchros/Ecklers (transmission is ok, will need to be rebuilt eventually) hood insulation, battery. new parts installed in 2003: new intake manifold gaskets new parts installed in 2001: 4 brake rotors, new/Ecklers new parts installed in 2000: tachometer circuit board, new/Ecklers steering box, new/GM battery, new/auto parts store battery cables, negative+positive, new/Ecklers valve stem seals new parts installed in 1999: windshield, new/installed intake manifold and carburator, new/Eldebrock 4 brake calipers, rebuilt personally, GM 4 brake lines, new/GM clutch pedal not just pad, new/Ecklers clutch+brake brace reconditioned+painted water pump, new/auto parts store alternator, rebuilt/auto parts store starter, auto parts store brake booster, new/GM car cover/Ecklers new parts installed in 1998: 4 tires, new/Sears heater core, new/GM oil pan, new/GM header bolts and gaskets exhaust pipe donut gaskets front bumper remounted new bolts power steering valve and cylinder, rebuilt/Ecklers bulbs inside and outside, new-auto parts store front wheel bearings and seals, new/auto parts store battery box reconditioned, new fiberglass/auto parts store new parts installed in 1996 to 1997 (previous owner): differential, rebuilt rear fibereglass spring, new rear control arms, rebuilt rear bushings, new front end bushings, new exhaust pipes, mufflers, and cat. converters seats recovered door panels later model bumper/spoiler |
